From 1st May 2025, Proquest Ebook Central moved to EPUB file format as the default option.

There will be both EPUB and PDF versions available for the ebooks on Proquest Ebook Central.

PDF format URL is the preferred option for deep linking.

On Proquest Ebook Central, when you click on Read Online (Image 1), you may be taken to EPUB version (Image 2) - follow Steps 1 & 2 to get to go to PDF format of the ebook. Get the permanent links as per instructions given below.

Image 1. Click on Read Online - you will be taken to Image 2.	Image 2. Click on the Book Icon and Click on Switch to PDF button to get to the PDF format of the book.

How to create Permanent links to a chapter or particular page in Proquest EBook Central?

Access the e-book through the ProQuest EBook Central database.

Ensure, you are in the PDF version.

• Click on the book title.

• When the page has opened, click on the 'Share Link to Book' icon located on the left side of the page and copy and paste the URL provided into the Readings Module in VU Collaborate.

A chapter or a page in ProQuest EBook Central

• Select 'Read Online' to open the e-book.
• Ensure you are in PDF version.
• Click on the relevant page or chapter, then click on the 'Share Link' icon located at the top of the page and copy and paste the link into the Readings Module in VU Collaborate
