Notice: Release of APA 7th edition

A new edition of the 'Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association' was released in October 2019. APA 6th edition will continue to be used at VU until February 2020 when a new APA 7th edition Guide and Resources will be available.

If you have any questions before February 2020, please contact 'Ask a Librarian'.

Which referencing style should I be using?

Before you write your reference list or bibliography, check with your lecturer/tutor which style they prefer you to use and refer to the instructions included with your assignment.

Information about why you need to reference is available in the Referencing & plagiarism guide.
