Research Academic Profiles: How to get started

This guide provides an overview of the Research Academic Profile and instructions on how to edit/create profiles.

How to start editing your profile

To edit a researcher profile in the Discovery module, you need to first log in to VU Elements and then navigate to the profile editing section. Once in edit mode, you can modify various aspects of your profile, such as your photo, biographical information, research summaries, and more. Changes are saved within the system and automatically reflected in your VU Research Academic profile once it has been published.

Here's a more detailed breakdown:

1. Accessing the Editing Interface:

Log in to VU Elements using your VU credentials.

Click on 'Profile' from the side pane once you've logged in.

Look for the option to edit your profile by selecting ‘edit mode’.

We are now ready to start editing the 'Bio' module. This is where we start as this is the core module which all the other modules hang off. Please note that the 'Summary' fields and 'Bio' allow free text with HTML being optional but other fields are content controlled.

The first sections we will cover are the Sidebar and Bio
