Elizabeth Harman served as Vice-Chancellor and President of Victoria University (VU) from 2003 to 2010. During her tenure, she played a pivotal role in expanding VU's international collaborations. Notably, in 2009, she facilitated a partnership with Le Cordon Bleu International to offer internationally recognized culinary courses in Melbourne. Harman also addressed educational disparities in Melbourne's western suburbs. In 2008, she contributed to a submission for the Victorian Government's Inquiry into Geographical Differences in Higher Education Participation, aiming to improve access to tertiary education in underserved areas.
