History

The Melbourne Technical College of Hairdressing operated between 1975 and 1984. It was the successor to the Melbourne School of Hairdressing (1960-1975) and was subsequently transformed into the Flagstaff College of TAFE (1984-1993). In 1981, the College was separated from the control of the Education Department of Victoria and became part of the TAFE network.
